NAGA CITY—Another landslide and rockslide were recorded in the town of Sagñay, Camarines Sur, due to heavy rain experienced in their area.
In an interview with Bombo Radyo Naga with Noli Pielago, Operation Head/Early Warning Officer of LDRRM Sagñay, he said that the said landslide and rock slide were recorded in Sitio Rawis and Sitio Garang in barangay Patitinan, Sagñay, Camarines Sur.
In this regard, Pielago assured that the Sagñay-Tiwi road is passable, but in the area of the incident, only one lane will be allowed for motorists, based on the order of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office Sagñay.
Apart from this, small debris has also been removed, but the possibility of a new landslide and rock slide is still being looked into due to the continuous rain.
The official added that caution tape and early warning devices have been installed to prevent incidents.
Pielago requests the public to check the advisories before travelling to Sagñay town to be safe from any incidents.
